Firiel and Rune journey to the Wall, the large obstruction in the South that keeps dinosaurs from passing into civilization and bends the light of the stars. But while there, Firiel accidentely manages to pass through the wall and is knocked out. While in the Wall, Firiel sees Brigion soldiers, and reasons that they're about to invade. Firiel goes to Hieraglion to stir up the Queen and court, chastising them for their inaction. Meanwhile, Rune goes to Eusis, and the two enlist in a makeshift army.
